The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle

I found this glass at a thrift store.  It’s got a fun glitter texture around  the bottom and I just loved its showiness.  It felt like an old dance costume or jazz hands in glass form.  Just a little more attention grabbing than it needed to be but also in a fun familiar way.  So I wanted to make a bit of a showy drink that gave this glass its moment to shine.  Of course I came up with the name immediately and my brain went from razzle dazzle to raspberries.  So I went with a take on The Clover Club, a Philadelphia original cocktail with gin, raspberry, egg and lemon.  I switched out the gin for bourbon and the lemon for orange.  I also added some chocolate bitters to make the whole thing feel like a little treat.  It’s a delightful little number that’s fancier than a drink needs to be but exactly what you deserve when you need a lil pizzazz in your life.   So shake one of these up next time you have guests and give 'em the ol’ razzle dazzle!
