The Wet Cassanova (Revised)

This drink is a collaborative Slophead Sunday recipe- The Wet Cassanova (Revised).  Shawn Ring wanted to create a drink for The Sloppy Boys Sonic Ranch album release that was a take on a whiskey sour but with blue cuarcao and agave syrup.  At our home base Friendly Lounge in Philadelphia we scribbled down a quick recipe.  It turned out we only had a small amount of blue curacao left so we had to hope that our measurements were right.  They weren’t.  The drink was only passable and it ate at me for over a week.  I knew I could fix it so I went to the store and got Abasolo Whiskey (The Sloppy Boys’ drink of that week) and blue curacao and headed into the test kitchen.  It took one more try but I got it to balance in a way I was happy with.  Though I will admit my at home ingredients were higher quality than the supplies at the Friendly, so that may have tipped the scales a bit.  I decided to use one of the coupe glasses Shawn had purchased for the bar to display the final product and added some of our regular decor for Slophead Sunday.  I’m hoping this revised version can be filed under ‘order again’.
