Treasure Hunt

I found these glasses at the Riverton Treasure Day town wide yard sale with my pal Zia Hiltey.  They were at a house claiming “everything must go” so I got a good deal.  Upon first glance, these two were giving me some cactus/succulent vibes.  Two days later I went to a liquor store to pick up some whiskey and there was a table in front with samples of an aloe vera liqueur by Chareau.  I almost walked right past but then I pictured these glasses and thought this might be the booze for them.  I asked for a sample and the woman said with a big smile ”I can’t wait to see how much you’re going to enjoy this”.  A little presumptuous, sure, but frankly was she right.  It was a bright, minty and summery flavor blast.  I said “oh wow” out loud and immediately asked for a bottle to purchase.  When I got it home, I mixed this tasty new liqueur with some gin and dash lime and the drink felt perfect.  It came together so quickly - finding two treasures that fit together so nicely in just two days.  And the result was such a light, crisp summery drink. I look forward to sipping these over the next few months while taking a dip in my inflatable pool.  Is it too early to declare this ‘The Drink of the Summer’?  Not in my book!  Shake one of these up, soak in some rays and treasure your summer.
